I got a chance to study in the U.S. and had earned an Associate Degree in Science. After learning about all of the subjects, I finally chose to become an accountant. Shenandoah is special because of knowledgeable and helpful professors and welcoming assistants. I like the approach this university takes to my courses.

I think it is very important to ask industry professionals how to network and make yourself marketable when transitioning from school to the workforce. That's why I like the university's Leadership and Mentoring Program (LAMP). All of the mentors are very reputable and are able to give good tips and advice to students. In the future, I hope to be a LAMP mentor myself. My mentor has truly helped me, and I want to help a future student the way she has helped me.

At Shenandoah I realized very quickly that I could be involved in everything I wanted to take part in. I've taken advantage of all the resources and activities -- such as leading clubs/organizations, going on all the different trips with Student Engagement and mentoring First-Year Seminar classes, all while playing a varsity sport (field hockey). Shenandoah has allowed me to succeed on the field as well as in the classroom and even in the SU community.

I liked the small school feel and how friendly everyone was despite how different they were from me. I'm also on the tennis team, play electric guitar at Abundant Life Church in Stephens City, and have a passion for flight. I anticipate flying jets in the future!

Internship Program
In today’s competitive employment environment, relevant work experience can mean the difference between landing your dream job and settling for making a living. The business school’s Internship Program gives you relevant, real world professional experience to prepare you for a fulfilling and successful career. When you graduate, you enter the workforce with the education, business skills and work experience to help you land the job you want.
Jenna Rampale '18, ’19 has completed two internships at Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida, through Disney’s College Program.
She has a big dream — to become the CEO of the Walt Disney Company — and she’s not leaving it up to wishing upon a star. She is chasing her dream with the single-minded tenacity of a Disney heroine.
Shenandoah’s BBA program teaches you a lot and gives you a lot of opportunities. I went to Madrid my freshman year to learn about international business and I worked at the Olympics in South Korea, so I’m learning on an international scale. At Shenandoah, you learn how things happen, and you’re asked ‘What would you fix?’ It’s an education for real life, and because of that, I feel prepared.”

Accomplished Faculty Mentors Make The Difference
There’s a special bond between business school students and their professors. Students enjoy close professional relationships with academically and professionally experienced faculty who mentor them in and out of the classroom. This remains a hallmark of a Shenandoah University business education. Students also benefit from our executive-in-residence who works with both professors and students to broaden the student’s focus beyond the classroom.
